No non-profit organization could pay its players the salaries given in major league baseball. It is purely business for profit.

Oh my goodness.... not at all.  They make so much money, just like the NFL and NBA do.

I wish mlb was non profit.  I would be able to afford to go to a game once in a while.  Or maybe I could make as much money teaching!!

In this day and age it's hard to imagine a non profit organization dealing with sports, and major league baseball is of no exception. The important thing to remeber is that with all of the advertising about how the MLB is looking out for the game's interests , when push comes to shuv, what makes the the world spin is money and the reason that there is an oraganization called MLB is in order to generate more and more of it...
