SHORT Video on computer

just got a computer trying to find out why when i try to look at a minute video it stop then start again then start etc.

Could be various problems ... the Internet connection (if you're viewing the video online); several programs running at the same time; a flaw in the computer itself; etc.  Could you provide any details (about the computer, the video player, etc.) that might help with the diagnosis?
