I believe quite important. It should never be the basis of any relationship but it's human nature to want to have sex.. Sadly it's not just men but women too. I know how horny I get sometimes and if we are going through a rough patch and I need some, I think i'll find it elsewhere.. So would 8/10 guys

In a marriage, sex is important. Sometimes, there are partners that equally do not have much sex, but if one of the partners wants more sex, then we have an uneven relationship and there is the need to talk. Marriage is a partnership and needs of both partners should be met, at least, important needs. Good luck!

A healthy sexual relationship is very important, despite popular belief that sex shouldn't matter; women getting mad over their man wanting it, yadda yadda. Truth is, like 24fAus said, if you don't get it there you'll want to get it elsewhere. The basis of a lot of cheating is just that, a boring/nonexistent sex life. So spice it up a little...buy books, videos, try new things. Talk about what you like. Make love, instead of just having sex, at least 4/10 times. That is all.

Sex should be the benefit of a good relationship - not the focal point or 'end all'. 

What happens if one of you becomes ill and can no longer participate in sex?  Or an accident?  Does 'no sex' equate to 'no relationship'?  If you can no longer perform though no fault of your own is that justification for your spouse to discard you and look for another sex partner? 

Be careful of such inqueries.  Consider carefully what really makes for a good marriage.  Things like trust, honesty, devotion, committment, etc.  Those are your foundation that builds for something beyond sex.  Again sex should be the benefit of a good relationship.
