Rum vs Rum Extract?

I'm wanting to bake a Rum Cake but instead of using rum I will need to use rum extract. If the recipe calls for 1/2 cup of rum how much rum extract do I use?

For every Tablespoon of dark rum, use 1 Tablespoon of rum extract.

For every five (5) Tablespoons of light rum, use 1 Tablespoon of rum extract.
