I have a lease that expires on 7-31-09. The landlady said after that we can rent month to month. My roommate unfortunately did not tell me she was moving out and did not give the landlady a thirty day notice. The landlady is saying she still needs to pay August rent as she did not give notice. I had planned to pay August rent(my share) and give notice August 1st. They have been collecting rent from each of us separately and they have an agreement with her separately. Shouldn't it be between the landlady and her as I am not responsible for her???
