Ron Leavitt Married with Children

Ron Leavitt passed away at the age of 60 of lung cancer. His hit show "Married with Children" and the characters of Al Bundi and his family members will probably be remembered for years to come.

Do you think his background as a Jewish kid in Brooklyn inspired this show and the family relationship it depicted?

I think the fact he grew up in a middle class family certainly had an effect on the way the Bundi's looked on the show. I'm not so sure it had to do with the fact he's from a Jewish background though. Sometimes we like to look for connections where there aren't necessarily any. We must remember that we're talking about professional actors.

I'm not sure you have to be Jewish to have a family, but I do believe all families have their quirks, so probably yes.
