A:

I wouldnt recommened givving your kids a credit card from ages 16 and below.  You need to start them off slow, at ages 6-8 start giving them a minimal allowance of about 3 or 4 dollars, and teach them to save money and encourage making money on a way of their own (lemonade stand, car wash etc.) to teach them the value of money.  AT ages 9-12 raise the allowance by about 2 or 3 dollars.  At ages 13-16 make sure you closely monitor their money total, Teens tend to be money spending monsters.  Also at age 16 encourage your kid to get a job, a simple job such as a cashier.  Then at age 17 you may allow your kid to get a pre paid credit card.  Once your kid has a steady job with enough money allow them to get ther own credit card.
