Restorring "My network places" icon

I have a Windows XP problem.

"My network places" icon on my desktop has disappeared and I can't restore it. can somebody give me a solution?

Right click on your task bar. Choose properties. Go to the start menu tab->customize->Advanced tab->Scroll down and tick "My network places". Now press Start and right click on the "My network places". Tick "show on desktop". There you have it...

jeeze could you give him a more complex way to do it lol - sheesh forester ;)

This is easier: 

Right Click on your desktop - Go to properties
Click the desktop Tab - Click Customize desktop at the bottom
At the top of the next screen it shows all the icons for your desktop, you just check the ones you want.
