Did you stop eating in restaurants because of the recession?
Yes. we (husband and I) used to eat out about 4 times a week but we haven't eaten out in over 2 months and I've found that we save at least $200 a month. I've noticed that when I do go into a restaurant that used to be packed, it's now pretty empty. Restaurant owners are complaining about the loss of customers because of the economy. Well we the consumers are in the same boat so maybe if they lowered their prices, more people would go out to eat. We now go to Chili's occasionally and will share an entree, maybe ordering something extra on the side. It's plenty of food and cuts the cost in half. Applebees has some good deals too for $5 or under. We do the same thing there, ordering one entree and a couple of sides. Plenty of food and more food than most people need these days with everybody's waistlines expanding, lol.
oh yeah who has the money to eat out with everything soo high. The money I use to spend eating out goes toward everything else and then some.
no
No we haven't. We are tying to support this "industry" and if you are careful (look for the coupons and 1/2 price certificates) and don't over do you can enjoy and support the kids that wait and bus tables and local industry. We tend to forget these are some of the most labor intensive businesses around.
