West Hempstead, New York Restaurants in the l960's- When I was a little girl, we used to eat at a restaurant that was on the corner of either Hempstead Turnpike, or Front Street and Fulton. It was where the streets intersected, and I remember the waiters were all elderly white haired men whose hands would shake when they put the food or drinks down in front of you. I'm thinking it was called the West End, but that may be entirely wrong. Does anyone remember it? And the name was?
What comes around goes around.
