Resistant ovary failure or early menopause!!

Hi, I am 21 years old and for the last 2years i have had irregular periods. Ive recently been told that i could possible be going through the menopause. My FSH levels are currently 69 u/l and the LH was 63. Before these results i was diagnosed with resistant ovariun failure. Why has the opinion changed do you think and what are my options for having children? Has anyone been through the same thing or gone through egg donation?

Since my last blog i have been

for a second opinion and after being told i had 'no chance' i have been given hope. Options have been offered to me and i have a 5-10% chance of naturally conceiving which in my eyes is better then 0%. I have recently been for a scan and had more tests so will get mor news when i return for an appointment in August. So far it has all been a waiting game but i feel positive and hoping that next year i will give egg donation a try....

I'm sorry to hear about your problems. The questions you asked should be presented to your doctor who will, no doubt, be able to give you some good information. Don't be afraid to get a second opinion if you're not satisfied with the answers you get.

I wish you the best of luck.

MY inferiority complex isn't as good as YOURS

I donated my eggs to my brother and his partner so they could impant them into a surrogate. Now they have a beautiful son.I've also had irregular periods...sometimes I would go 4 months without having one,or menstruate 2-3 times a within a month.I've also had two miscarriages and don't expect I will ever carry a healthy pregnancy so I was less conflicted when deciding to donate. Are you thinking of donating or freezing,or perhaps using a donors eggs to conceive?Personally,I think you have many options and technology is advancing every single day.I wouldn't lose hope for having a biological child.I feel for you and wish you the very best.
