Research on spelling technology terms?

Is there any research on spelling technology terms? Is there consensus on how such terms as Internet/internet, email/e-mail, and eLearning/e-learning are spelled?

Thanks. Those sites will prove useful in comparing how they spell the technology terms that are selected for the study.

I'm still looking for research and/or writing on the topic of how tech terms are spelled, and why there's disagreement on the accepted spellings at this point in time.
