I have never been a fan of "W," but the Iraqi's reaction was a little over the top for my taste. I believe non-violent protests outside the site he spoke would have gotten the message across just as well without compounding the already negative sentiments about Islamic radicals throughout the rest of the world.

it is understandable that this happened. after all how many iraqis have died since the war started, what kind of shape is their country in, and what kind of future do they have to look foeward to, over 7 years after their "liberation".

Bush should be tried in the World Court for MURDER and Genecide to both American troops and Iraquis. He lied from the beginning and is getting away with murder.

I think it's both funny and tragic. I would love to throw a shoe at him myself. He is still in Bushland, thinking that the Iraqi people are grateful to him for "liberating" them. The shoe throwing and remarks by the journalist just illustrate the feelings of the Iraqi people and of the entire world. He should just stay home and keep his mouth shut until Obama is sworn in and then he should just slink off to Texas and never speak again.

It shows complete lack of respect for the US and President Bush.

Despite what many in the US beleive, a large majority of those in the Middle East

want the US out of their lives. We have caused more problems than we may have solved.

For a president that wan NOT an "nation builder"...that is exactly what he has become.

We need to get out of Iraq and let the Iraqis kill each other.  That seems to suit them o.k.

what was the point? it's not like the president and the rest of america is unaware of how the people of iraq hate us.  so the reporter threw a shoe, wow thats original.  i thought it was more impressive that the president dodged it so well the first time because it had to be so unexpected.  so now people of iraq are hailing the shoe tosser because they like that the guy insulted the president?  bush is done being president in a matter of just a short time and was the president really that insulted? if i were him it would have only amused me later when i thought about it and gave myself props for being so quick to duck.
