Repacement of Galvanized piping

I have a 25 year old house with galvanized iron pipes.  Lately I have experienced multiple leaks on horizontal runs of the hot water line.  I know it is time to replace this line.  Should I go ahead and replace the cold water pipes also?  Is CPVC pipe an acceptable pipe alternative?
