Reopening a closed Yedda thread

Suppose i posted a question on Yedda, and accedentally closed it (i.e. clicked on "I found the answer!"). How can i reopen it, so that there's no green check mark on it?

iyb, we already corresponded through email, but just to summarize: as noted above, opening a closed thread is not possible at the moment.

The reason for that is very very deep: we didn't think about it Smile

Thanks for highlighting this, it makes perfect sense to provide the asker with a way to re-open the question, we'll add that.

as far as i can tell, there is no way of doing it at the moment, other than adding a new question with the same or slightly changed wording.

FYI, it is very unlikely that you would close a thread by accident, because it takes several clicks - you will then be asked for where you found the answer etc.

Thanks 2004,

It may be very unlikely, but it's happened to me already. I meant to reply to a question i'd posted, but i absent-mindedly clicked on the "I found the answer!" button rather than on the "Reply" link, i guess because it was the more conspicuous of the two. Then i guess i automatically answered all the questions one is asked before posting an "I found the answer!" message.

I'd like to receive a more authoritative answer, say from someone from Yedda's staff, or in the form of a link to one of Yeddas help-pages where this issue is addressed.

As far as I know at2004 is right and you can't re-open a question you closed.

You can contact the staff directly (there's the "Feedback" link at the top bar) and ask if it's possible. I contacted them twice in the past and they were very friendly.

Thanks King_Cobra_Show,

Two people have answered my question by saying they don't think there is a possiblility to reopen a closed Yedda thread. Although this does not answer my question, it does give me a good reason to write to Yedda a feedback suggesting to change this state of affairs: either allow a thread to be reopened, or, if this possiblity already exists, make it more obvious.
