Renting a place with smokers

Would you consider renting a place with smoking roomies? Would the fact that you play the drums change your mind, assuming the options are fewer than usual?

Being a non smoker, i probably wouldn't unless I really needed a place to live and really enjoyed the company of the person. Playing the drums would have no influence.

Good luck.

Think with your head, not your a$$.

I have to agree with tiptopmanager. Being a former smoker, I wouldn't want to get back into a bad habit and living with a smoker would be too much of a teaser not to start again; however, for a non-smoker, I'd say, if the smoke doesn't bother you so much and you come up with some good ground rules with the smoker roommate, you may be able to work something out. I'm not really sure how playing the drums would influence living or not living with someone who smokes. (It's really your clothes, hair, furniture and air in the house that suffer when someone smokes inside.)

As a former smoker whose husband still smokes, I find his smoking to be so offensive it helps me stay in quit mode. Seems to me a simple agreement is in order. No smoking or drum playing in the apartment (this includes marijuana and playing with drum sticks on objects other than drums).

Basically no sticks in the house - drum sticks or Nick on a Stick ;)
