  1. Try to get the entire tag off. If the tag rips in the middle of you peeling it away, try from another corner. You may not need to use this wikiHow at all if this works, but you really need it if there are a bunch of sticky spots that catch hair and dirt and are just plain annoying. This will usually work if the tag is on a book cover or a CD case without a wrapper.
  2. Take a few inches or so from your masking tape (from the Things You'll Need section). Wrap it around your index and middle finger by sticking one end in between the two fingers and wrapping the piece around snugly.
  3. Press the tape against the residue and pull away. The sticky part of the tape will stick to the sticky and pull away with it. If the tape stops sticking before you are finished, use the other side or replace it with new tape.

Too easy, Just heat them first with a lighter, a few cm's away. It will peel as butter

301 thumbs up

The road to nowhere is paved with good 'intentions'.

There is also a spray you can find at most Automotive stores like Auto Zone called (Sticker Shock).  It's designed to take off bumper stickers.  It works beautifully on all those types of impossible sticky glues used for Lables and price tags... I always keep a can of it under my sink.  It works on everything, like glass, plastic, tin, you name it, the glue literally melts right off!  You gotta try it.

Note: Don't use this stuff on Clothes or Fabric!!!

try using a little rubbing alchohol or some WD40.  They usually soften the sticky gum base on the back of those nasty price stickers.  Of course, always check a small corner of anything to make sure its not going to ruin it.  Also I heard Vodka also works.
