Removing Formica

My cabinet doors are covered with Formica and it is starting to come off in some areas. What would be the easiest way to fix them? I don't care for the Formica but don't know how to take it off.  Please help

Life is a one lap race. Make many pitstops.

It would probably be less expensive to replace the doors rather than try to remove the formica. The glue they use to attach the formica is usually very strong and difficult to remove. You can reglue the formica if you wish but removing it and replacing with some other coating would be very labor intensive.
