Agree with KatieDidIt ... be certain that your physician knows about any unusual symptoms (possible side effects). BE RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR OWN HEALTHCARE. Ask about alternative medications and maintain a well balanced diet -- if you weren't given a diet or prognosis ASK!

Have a written list of questions before your appointments and ask for a consult with a dietitian. A  journal can be helpful for some patients.

Remember that 'stress' will cause an exacerbation of symptoms so try to maintain a stress level that is as low as possible. You might want to consider one of the multiple ways to control stress. When you need answers CALL YOUR PHYSICIAN.

http://www.ccfa.org/info/about/ucp  is an excellent reference site that I include for patients and they offer a 'news letter' that will allow you access to the most up to date information.

YOUR PHYSICIAN IS YOUR FIRST 'CALL!'
