Be wise

jesusluver, here we have more people making excuses...if you are not a christian then you should know this question was not directed to you.  Not going to church because of the people in the church and what they do is just another excuse.  we do not go to please others.  do you think you cant go in and listen to the sermon and then leave without getting involved in the "politics" of it all? The 2 main reasons to go to church is to 1. worship and learn about God  2. to be a witness     reasons christians don't go are laziness, they are afraid of hearing something they dont want to hear ( but already know), and again, laziness.PERIOD

Most churches are evil, wrapped up in the wordly babalonian ati-christ system.  They worry more about the traditions of men rather than true obedience to God. Why would I want to be a part of that.  Churches give me a watered down version of who God is. God has called me as a prophet but prophets are shut out of the churches. This is wrong.  Churches are paganistic and need to go back to the origional way God called churches to be before the catholic pagans came in and took it over.

Main thing, love God with all your heart and He will lead you to people to fellowship with. Other than that stay out of the churches if you truly want to follow God!

people don't believe in God because of limited capabilites...they believe in Him because they know there's nothing better or more satisfying, more mysterious and delightful than being in a relationship with Him...there's no excuse needed to believe, except maybe that they know they realized they don't want to handle life on their own, becuase God's plans are so much better, so much more thought out and perfect because He sees the whole picture, not just the bits and pieces we see. He sees the end at the same time as the beginning, He sees us now and in 10 years. He knows every thought we will ever have, He knows all that's going to take place, why not trust Him...how can you not. He's so incredible, He's everything good and right, everything sustaining and loving. He is intimate and He is relational. He is there, pursuing us every day we wake up and see smeting pretty, see His name written out in the sky, because He's calling us to look at Him, to love Him, to stop denying His existance when He's so obvously alive and wonderful...

I am glad your church group is working for you as that is what it is supposed to do.  Make you feel better about yourself and have hope.  I have been to the Catholic church (born and raised), the Jehovah Witnesses, and an Evangelical church and have watched Dollar, Dr. Stanley, Beth Moore, Joel Osteen, and others on tv.  I am sick and tired of seeing religion become big business and these people become millionnaires.  If they were truly of God, they'd live of average means and give their money as Jesus would, to the needy and poor.  The Evangelical church I just quit a year ago after attending three years, started asking for more and more money, even asking people to sign up for 3 year commitments to specific amounts way beyond their means, promising they would get it back from God in return.  Lies and false promises.  I saw people do without vacations and cars while the Pastors traveled everywhere and dressed like a million bucks.  One used to say he couldn't wait until Christmas to get his gifts from his congregation.  Every speaker he had come in to the church which was quite often had a special collection for them.  Soon there was a biweekly "missions" collection, and so on.  They brainwashed the people into clapping and dheering at collection time and putting tremendous guilt on anyone who didn't tithe or more.  I had a personal issue I spoke about  to my pastor and his wife and they actually lied to me. (I later found out it involved them making money on it).  Honestly, to me, organized religion is big business.  If you can find a church to attend, get involved in helping others, make sure it's bible based and accurately defined, and NOT be made to feel guilty in any way whatsoever, then enjoy the experience.  It just might be for you, but don't judge those who choose other ways to find peace and love.  There is alot of hipocracy in the modern churches.  This includes the people who attend them who are lovely in church, but afterwards lead contradictory lives.   I have had major issues in my life for the past 20 years and was told to pray for them and God would come through.  Nothing yet.  I was told he'd do it in his time.  Well, life is short, so I won't hold my breath.  I am already up there in age.  As I age, it seems like a Godless world.  If people aren't nice to one another and help one another, that's where it's at.  Realistically, God may have created us and the world, but I think he has been in his 7th day of resting far too long.  Many cruel and abominable things are happening in this world, and let's face it, it is up to us the people, to fix it.  I'm waiting for the day when he will get fed up with it all like I have, and finally do something about it all.  From years of believing in God, I still pray to him and haven't totally given up hope, but it's a struggle seeing things not change.  I do try to have faith.  I guess if we all gave up on faith, it would be the end.  It's greed that is ruining the churches and attendance.

Honestly, I think people don't go because of boredom, not so much laziness.  We won't go to see a bad movie, or to a bad restaurant, or visit a boring friend too often, so why would we want to go to a boring sermon?  Years ago they could try to make you feel very guilty and sinful if you didn't attend.  Today, with so many people not attending church, nobody feels guilty anymore.
