Tell a lie often enough and loud enough and it will become a religion or a government.

~ The Heart is the hub of all sacred places, go there and roam ~

I am always curious as to WHY people THINK they need religion to find God?  Well, yea, I do know... someone told them AND they chose to BELIEVE it.  WEll, that and Karma.

What makes people THINK One such as Jesus would even bother to start a religion?   Yes, People AROUND Jesus set up religions .. for a number of reasons.  Some were well intentioned.. others.. not so much.  Some for power politics, while others simply misunderstood Jesus' greater purpose.    Because of a lack of Grace they THOUGHT they could comprehend One such as Jesus via their finite dualistic minds, but you can't.. no one can that way.   It sipmply does not work that way.   It is by Grace alone, where the individual finite mind is ALLOWED to merge into THe Divine Mind.  It is NOT something "we" can Think, or decide. Nor does it have anything to do with our beliefs.    Grace destroys everything you ever THOUGHT was "real" or valid.. every thought, every concept, every belief, and starts anew by allowing us to enter the Divine Mind.

                               ~  ~  ~

I personally dropped "religion" at around the age of 12.  It simply did not serve me.  I became an Altruistic Agnostic.. to say.. I wanted to know BUT I did not KNOW  ...if there was a Higher Power or not, and blind fatih Belief made no sense..I really needed to Know first hand, so I simply stayed neutral.  And then, around the age of 35 The Divine ONE  showed up.. and I knew, beyond all doubt that There was a Higher Power and THAT was Unconditional Love.  Just mundane "mind" words until it happens to you.   And that was only part 1.  Ten years later Grace revealed the Supreme  Gift.. the Non-Dual State of Pure Consciousness,  recognition of the actual  infinite essence of the Divine One.

Here's the thing... Those such as Jesus, Krishna, The Buddha, and other  exceedingly RARE Grace Bestowers are All the same Perfect formless ONE, which out of compassion, from time to time, has ALWAYS taken form.

Throughout the ages this ONE Pure Infinite Consciousness has been given different names. Some call THAT ONE.. the "Christ Consciousness, or The Krishna Consciousness, or the Buddha Consciousness, etc. ... depending on THIER own personal relationship  With The Divine ONE.

Such seemingly "individiual" forms  of The ONE, are actually far greater than the finite religious mind can begin to  perceive.. because of a lack of Grace.

Where religions concern themselves with getting the individiual soul into "Heaven"....   those rare Grace Bestowers who manifest out of compassion for humanity  have a far more important concern.. to Awaken the finite mind to its True Higher SELF, whcih is exactly the same in ALL.    Heaven is NOT the Goal, but dualistic religions do not have the knowledge or the power to recognize the True Purpose of one such as Jesus... which is.. to awaken us to our own Godhood.     When Grace strikes dualistic religion falls away in an instant  and The Grace Bestower becomes one's constant inner companion.   They alone reveal.. there is not  You AND The Divine ONE.. there is ONLY The Divine ONE, everywhere, manifesting as ALL that IS and IS Not.

No religion can own One such as Jesus, or The ONE Christ that is both eminent (readily perceived) AND Transcendent (beyone all perception). The ONE is totally free, total Love, and can NOT be comprehended by the finite mind, which is veiled in ignorance and mayah. The ONE can ONLY be Known by becoming One with That.   PS... Whatever one THINKS  God to be.. that will not be it  : )  The fintite dualistic mind will NEVER Know The Divine ONE in all IT's Perfection,  ... but The finite mind that merges into THAT.. Knows THAT, ITs True Self.

Be still and Know ... your True Self.

"Any intelligent fool can make things bigger, more complex, and more violent. It takes a touch of genius -- and a lot of courage -- to move in the opposite direction."

James wrote: "..... gave his son as a sacrafice that the old laws of moses would be oblished...."

a) If you believe that, that makes you an athiest, not a Christian.

b) It's a very hateful thing to say.

There are no laws of Moses, only of Gd.

However, you do have the timeline right.

Christianity, like Judaism and Catholithism separate the Higher Power from the 'child/ren of' [a higher power]. All people are created in Gd's image(with a spark of Gd).

For some reason, the 'choseness' (of Jewish people) is repeatedly misunderstood as favoritism, although it's been explained for centuries. The true meaning of it is that the Jewish people chose Gd's laws, as an eternal religion for the sake of Gd. It is written, within the books of Moses, that Gd created all languages, separated them so that no one person could understand every language as an individual and created other religions. Not all religions follow Gd's laws in part or at all. The latter is the reason modern government exists and most, that are democratic, support the basic foundations of laws from a Higher Power. The alternative is deadly and we see that in countries that deny people have any obligation to civil behavior.

However, the purpose of religion is to uphold morality so that people don't get the wrong message that they are alone in their thoughts. In itself, organized religion re-inforces the right messages but is not, to everyone, a connection to Gd or moral/holy behavior. Within a civil framework, most all religions can work, without limiting individual freedom. None work perfectly. None ever did work perfectly in the eyes of humans, however, the world is Gd's creation and is 'perfect'(whatever that means to Gd) to Gd, Himself. Religion is about trust and then it becomes personal, especially when it is abscent of love; it renews the connection to the Source of love (or Love a.ka. Gd) It is not a given to anyone. It requires service to and the reasons vary from religion to religion.

As far as converting, it is something that someone should ask their reasons for wanting to, first and very, very seriously. Sometimes people haven't 'found themselves' and religion won't do that for anyone. If it is truly a Gd thing, you should talk to a religious leader within your own faith.

There is no 'best' religion. There's only one that you decide enhances your life and makes you connected to love, in yourself and for other people. Only you can decide what, if any, religion Gd finds you in.

PEACE OUT.
