Gabriel did not give Muhammad the Quran, tradition asserts that Muhammad was given what to say and scribes wrote it down. Historically if any of Muhammad's claim is true none of the quotes conclusively exists today. Years of wars and multiple “clergy” factions translating any leftovers of a possible bits and pieces of the original recitations were destroyed and finally something resembling an orderly documentation of what is considered a Quran today is mostly fiction, incorrect chronology, misuse of actual names, constructs of other religious beliefs, and not worthy of any credible reason to be taught as the words of Muhammad let alone the words of God through the angel Gabriel. The earliest origins of anything that could be considered the Quran was complied almost 200 years after the death of Muhammad, by then much of any original recitations were lost and for lack of a structural grammar base for a logical understanding of what was written was up for grabs to be given any meaning commentaries wanted to give it. With all this said I would compare the Quran with the book of Mormons, and the Jehovah Witness’ translation rewriting of the bible to fit their doctrine. The present day Quran is not a credible book for Muslims to base their faith upon as the words of Muhammad. No original manuscripts exist to prove the accuracy of the translations or the commentaries.
The Bible on the other hand does have original manuscripts available to compare translations with to get a more accurate understanding for the meaning of scripture. The fact that the Bible is God’s Word is stated in the scriptures, 2 Timothy 3:16

Having read the account in Numbers 31 of Robert Ingersoll’s statement, he exaggerated the Biblical account to mean something it does not. God had a quarrel with the Midianites for what they did to the Israelites, thus telling Moses to assemble an army to destroy that nation. The military did not fulfill God’s command to its fullest by not destroying everything; the lives that were spared where to be executed, except the virgin female women and female children. They were not divided among the men for sexual gratification, but rather as was the custom, for slavery. Robert is obviously ignorant about this.
The Bible is boring to a sinner but not for a Christian. Without the Holy Spirit the Bible is just another book among the thousands; black ink on white paper. Before I gave my heart to Christ this is how the Bible was for me, as it is for you. After having given my heart to Christ and being filled with the Holy Spirit, the Word of God became a living person. There is clarity and a depth beyond the three dimensional that transcends human logic and thought to a God who is more real than life itself and cannot be dismissed with the likes of an atheist. As I have told you “I don’t believe God exists, I know He does.” It is a lie to conceive that God is an extraterrestrial being way out in space waiting for the time of his choosing to return in a space ship to whisk us away to some far distant planet (that is a fairy tale Physicalist would be more apt to believe, science being his pet fetish).
You are incorrect, Lucifer and the angels are not human, we are not their descendants. Eve was deceived Adam was not and it is for this reason that the sin nature is passed on through the male and not the female. With this fact that is why Jesus had to be born of a virgin, for if He had a human father Jesus could not have been the Son of God and sinless. You are the one that does not understand God’s word always trying to circumvent it.
I see you believe the “swoon theory” of Jesus’ death, burial, and resurrection. Let us see what would happen to you if you went through what He did for mans redemption, then be stabbed in the heart and live for three days in a tomb with your face tightly wrapped in cloth; then come out alive to eat with the disciples (how ignorant you behave when you get frustrated). The people who saw Jesus ascend into heaven had no doubt who He is; not only His appearance but also the wounds proved Him to be Jesus.
The reality of what God wants concerning homosexuals is repentance from the sin of homosexuality. God gave the inhabitants of Sodom and Gomorrah plenty of opportunity to repent of their abominations, through the preaching of Lot, but they refused to do so. Yes, Lot was foolish to offer his daughters obviously his concern for the angels overcame is common sense. The inhabitants sealed their fate when they were willing to kill Lot to get to the angels, God had mercy long enough; God sent judgment. You do greatly err not knowing the God you ignorantly accuse as if He were a human instead of a Holy Spirit. God will not let sin and rebellions go unpunished, He will eventually send judgment.

DYK where are all the famous people you quote, are they all dead or almost ready to die; all fools for rejecting Christ and you chose to follow in their footsteps. Give your heart to Christ and stop fighting a losing battle against God. Ask Satan, he knows he will not win, yet he wants you to believe you can, how terribly deceived you and Physicalist are what a tragedy.
