According to the Prophet Daniel, what were/are the four Church-State (religious Beast) Governments that suppressed (conquered) Ancient Israel, and which one still exists today?

To find the beast today, one only needs to look in a mirror. This is where he hides, til the test is laid before him,and his true nature is resurrected. The veil is taken away, and so is our pride. As it is written in the holy scrit,Let the man of wisdom count the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man.Did someone do something that angered you, and in your quiet reserve, you called them names, in your mind, where none can hear you?do you hear laughter, satan laughing at your weakness, and behold how he taunts the Lord saying"Did I not say that if you took from him his peace, how that he would curse you to your face?" And you in your piety reply'When did I curse the Lord to His face?' As it is written "whatsoever you do to the least of these my little ones, you have done it unto me." And therein my friends, lies the BEAST. westley.

Beast 1 The Lion Kingdom-actually it was Egypt of which Nebuchadnezzar II in 605 conquered BCE (before Common Era) we know this because his wording in Chapter 7:4.  The eagle wings are plucked leaving the Lion made to walk on 2 legs, and was given a human mind.  Because I do study, I understand this beast to be Egypt not Babylon as many say because the eagle wings are removed the Lion a very ancient by his time and royal image belonged to Egypt for 3 millenniums before Daniel.Beast 2 The Bear was Persia, we know this because of the 3 ribs in its mouth.  The three ribs represent the 3 empires Persia conquered The Chaldean Babylon, Assyria, and Egypt.Beast 3 The Leopard This is Greece actually Alexander who defeated Persia, and was welcomed into Egypt, Judaea, and almost everywhere else.  When he died four of his generals fought for his kingdom.  Eventually, it was broken into 4 parts like the 4 heads on the Leopard's back.  They were the Macedonian, Thraceian, Seleucid (Asia Minor), and Ptolemaic Egypt.Beast 4 The beast unlike any other with Horns we know that this is referring to Rome.  After men like Marius, Pompey, and Caesar were done making the Roman Army into the fighting machine without equal, no nation defeated it.  The first 10 horns are the first Imperial Emperors after Caesar was murdered.  The little horn that ripped out 3 of the first ten and grew greater is referring to the Emperor Domitian.  We know this because when Nero was disposed in 68 CE (common era) civil war broke out and in 69 AD there were actually 4 Emperors Galba (horn 6), Otho (horn 7), and Vitellius (horn 8).  The 4th Emperor of that year was Emperor Vespasian (horn 9) who in 66 AD Nero sent to Judaea to defeat the rebellion of the Jews.  His fraction in Rome actually crowned his youngest son Domitian and when Daddy arrived back in Rome.  He took crown from his youngest son.  He ruled happily for 10 years, and then his eldest son (horn 10) Titus the beloved first-born son of the Roman God Caesar inherited the throne and crown.  He had a brief reign of about 3.5 yrs.  Then that little horn that became the greatest inherited the throne and crown from his brother and that was Domitian.  Now we know that Horns 6, 7, 8, were ripped out.  Just as Daniel predicated! Now where is the beast today...?  In my Book, it is no longer, unless you fear ancient Roman armies and i do not.  Today i would say the beast if I actually believed them would be the fundies and those with a new gospel who speak in strange ways as if Holy and new knowledge has been given to them.  When are you going to ask about the first dream of Daniel from Chapter 2?  Please invite me to it as i might miss it and i sure do not want to do that :)  G-d Blessings (G-d spelled this way by me is only out of respect for the ancientness of the word, i adore ancient times). You have a great evening i am off for the night God Bless everyone, the Truth sets one free Thank you Lord Jesus.

That's pretty interesting, except you left off the part about the two legs and the ten toes made of iron and clay.

Daniel 2:33-35
33 His legs of iron, his feet part of iron and part of clay.
34 Thou sawest till that a stone was cut out without hands, which smote the image upon his feet that were of iron and clay, and brake them to pieces.
35 Then was the iron, the clay, the brass, the silver, and the gold, broken to pieces together, and became like the chaff of the summer threshingfloors; and the wind carried them away, that no place was found for them: and the stone that smote the image became a great mountain, and filled the whole earth.

Daniel 2:41-43, 45
41 And whereas thou sawest the feet and toes, part of potters’ clay, and part of iron, the kingdom shall be divided; but there shall be in it of the strength of the iron, forasmuch as thou sawest the iron mixed with miry clay.
42 And as the toes of the feet were part of iron, and part of clay, so the kingdom shall be partly strong, and partly broken.
43 And whereas thou sawest iron mixed with miry clay, they shall mingle themselves with the seed of men: but they shall not cleave one to another, even as iron is not mixed with clay.

45 Forasmuch as thou sawest that the stone was cut out of the mountain without hands, and that it brake in pieces the iron, the brass, the clay, the silver, and the gold; the great God hath made known to the king what shall come to pass hereafter: and the dream is certain, and the interpretation thereof sure.

Correction and Explanations of Post One.

First off, I must apologize for an error in the above post.  The Bear Beast did not conquer Assyria.  The Chaldeans of Babylon and their allies the Medes conquered Assyria.  The Medes represent the first of the Bears 3 ribs followed by Babylon and then Egypt.

Explanations   Beast 1 on it being Egypt.  A further explanation by the time of Daniel, the sacredness of Pharaoh was in serious decline.  This decline followed the death of Ramesses II of the 19th Dynasty.  The Egyptian Royal throne; taken first by the Lybians, followed in turn by the Kushites, Assyrian vassals, and Persians.  Whatever divine status the New Kingdom had restored to the Egyptian royal house was dead.  Therefore, when Daniel speaks of the Lion having the mind of man, he was speaking of the development in Egyptian religious beliefs.  That each person could assess their own and the national god, the God-King was no longer needed in Egypt.

Aw now you are speaking of the 1st dream of Daniel. Daniel Chapter 2.  The Beast dream is from Chapter 7.  I am thankful.

In Daniel 2 Daniel tells Nebuchadnezzar his dream and then revels the meaning of it.  It was not of a beast but of a great statue, with head of gold (Egypt), its breast and arms of silver (notice how easy silver tarnishes) Persia, the belly and thighs of bronze (Greece), with the legs made of iron and the feet a mixture of iron and clay.

Okay now for the Iron legs it can be only Rome.  We know this because Roman armies were masters of iron.  The production and pollution from their Spanish mines post Maruis was unheard of in the ancient days.  The army, if needed could march by foot 25 miles a day.  Talk about strong legs!  Anyway, the Imperial Army that again developed under Maruis, Pompey, and Caesar dominated all nations’ even friends and allies of Rome.

Iron as you know can last for some time, and it takes time to decay as well.  Rome was no different the end of the Iron Legs came between the years of 235-283 AD.  While the Iron was decaying, the mixture of iron and clay feet was evolving into itself.  In 253 AD, the Emperor Valerian was captured by King Shapur I of the Parthian Empire, near Edessa; a completion of Rev. 16:12.  This was the effective end of the Kingdom of Iron.

The effective beginning of the Kingdom of Clay and Iron mixed toes comes into existence in the year Emperor Diocletian divided the Roman Empire into two parts the Eastern and Western parts ruled by 2 Emperors and 2 sub-emperors, better know as the Tetrarchy.

In 306 AD Constantine is recognized as Caesar and defeats his 3 rivals.  He abandons Rome moving into his brand new eastern capital Constantinople.  Christian and with no pagan temples within the city, it did have 5 churches inside it.  Of course by this time the Toleration Edict of Galerius of Sofia was passed (311 AD) mandating the toleration of Christians.  Then in 313 AD the Edict of Milan was passed legalizing Christianity throughout the Roman Empire.

While the Eastern Empire grew stronger, the Western Empire grew weaker until Rev. 18 was fulfilled.  The Visigoths sacked Rome in 410 AD, and then as Rev said twice Rev. 18:1-10 she would be shamed and in 455 AD, again Rome was sacked, this time by the Vandals.  In 475 AD, Rome was abandoned to the barbarians that chose to rule from Ravenna.  While the Eastern Empire based in Constantinople stood strong.

Fortunately, the Iron toes continued under the name of the Byzantium Empire, its capital was Constantinople.  While the Clay toes fell into the Dark Ages.  Just as Daniel had said, and by this time 475 AD, nearly a thousand years before!  While the Byzantium Empire tried several times to recapture the West, it never succeeded.  Another promise of John.

Okay now Revelation promises a 1000 year Christian Kingdom, for this we look again to the Byzantium Empire its dates from 475 AD to 1450 AD it was technology a Christian Kingdom.  It never had decent relations with the Christianized barbarian controlled West ruled by the Pope in Rome.

I do not know about the other peoples, whose god promises a return and a thousand year Christian Kingdom.  History on the other hand tells me my G-d has fulfilled all his promises as Jesus promises.  It is very hard to write non-passive sentences in history.  Since my editor demands so few of them LOL I beg your forgiveness for my use of them on Yedda-Glory to the Lord my God!  And to you a great day.Cool

Oh yes the stone, It is Christ who destroys all that deny him. And that is His job not mine.
