I think it's very hypocritical of everybody to connect the two. The fact that he does or does not have an affair will in no way influence his abilities to run this country. How is a baby going to affect his taking the nation out of Iraq?

If it's true and the people have to find out this way,I think it's really dumb.He could have handled it much better if he just said "I made a mistake,I apologized to my wife,she forgave me and that's it.I'm very happy to be a father again and my child will always have the support of a large extended family".I wouldn't vote for John Edwards anyway,but I think it's more obvious he isn't very responsible or trustworthy.If my candidate were discovered to have had an illicit affair which resulted in a child,I would wait to see how he handled the situation before entirely throwing him/her under the bus.

I don't think, based on rumors, we can destroy a man's political career. There's no justice in this.

If eventually it would turn out he had an affair I think it would end his chances of being elected. American's don't like their political figures with skeletons in their closet.  

Until DNA is tested. No one can say who the father is

Who knows who slept with who , why and when?

 and if none of the parties compy , then we dont know and only quess

 Quessing is not dependable.
