Buy an HP Inkjet Refill Kit or a Universal Inkjet Refill Kit. You can find them at electronic stores, but to get the widest variety and cheapest prices you should order off the internet. Some websites offer big discount that make Refill Kits as little as a couple of dollars.
On average Refill Kits cost about $15-$30 cheaper than most replacement ink cartridges and you can refill the cartridge several times.

In the kit there is ink, a bottle of cleaning solvent, a syringe, and a thick instruction manuel. You can breeze through the instruction manuel if you'd like, but you probably don't want to.

Poke through the green refill holes on the cartridge. You'll need to use quite a bit of force, but don't go crazy our you will crack the cartridge and have to replace it.

Use the syringe to slowly inject 10 milliliters of ink into the proper holes. Be careful some ink may ooze out of the top, but otherwise the ink will not drip from the cartridge.

Reinstall the cartridge and test it out. Print three or four copies of a picture to insure the ink is working correctly.

If the picture looks funky take the cartridge out. You may have waited too long to refill and have dry ink clogging the ink heads. There are several ways to get the ink flowing again. You can spray cleaning solvent in the ink heads or soak the ink heads in the cleaning solvent.

Reinstall the ink cartridge again and try printing. The picture should look perfect.
