Red reset button on water heater tripping.

Hey Eric...There is a red reset button in the water heater that trips at least once a week. I've chanced both heating elements, and it stayed set for a month. It started tripping again, so I chaged the actual switch, and that lasted for about 2 weeks, and its tripping again. The water heater is about 4 years old. Am I missing something else? Scott

Try turning the temp down a bit and see if that solves your problem. The reset button senses the water temp and clicks off if he water becomes too hot. You either have a bad thermostat or a bad temp sensor. These items are not expensive and are easy to replace.
