Recovery without IP?

Do you believe it is possible to recover from a long-term eating disorder without a formal IOP or IP program?

I'm guessing it is possible, but very very difficult, and if I may be so bold, a little unnecessary. A good program can be so helpful and meaningful and actually address more issues than just the eating disorder, that giving up on it is really quite a shame.

I don't think you're being bold at all. A part of me knows that a more formalized program would be an outstanding thing. The other part... knows my insurance only covers 80% of it and I really can't afford that other 20%. Let alone the time taken off work (or leave with reduced pay). I feel stuck between a rock and a hard place. I could benefit from that level of support... but I can't afford it. I can barely keep up with the cost of a therapist once a week!
