Reconciling POP3 with BlackBerry

I've got a POP3 account which I've now got connected to my new BlackBerry Curve 8300. It is downloading new emails as and when they arrive (both to my POP3 account and to my corporate mail server). However, if I delete an email from the POP3 mail server elsewhere, it doesn't synchronise the deletion on the BlackBerry and leaves it there unread. Is this supposed to happen? Is there any way of making the BlackBerry delete or at least mark as read emails that I have read elsewhere?

Hi there...what is happening is this: when your downloading your email onto your blackberry, it is not actually downloading the emails, it is downloading a copy of it, so, when you get back to your pc or laptop, you should download in outlook to actually pull them off the server.

You may want to check in outlook settings if you have checked "leave a copy of msg on server" uncheck this to help.

all the best!
