I am starting to receive emails that look like they are from my own email account. How is this done and how can I stop it?
I have been getting the same type of emails lately. I don't see how to notify AOL. And I have been having trouble getting to AOL on Internet Explorer, too.
Try the suggestions listed in this help article, http://help.aol.com/help/microsites/search.do?cmd=displayKC&docType=kc&externalId=10243&sliceId=1&docTypeID=DT_AOLTROUBLESHOOTING_1_1&dialogID=4066700&stateId=0%200%2015061919 In addition please make sure to delete your own email address from your address book. 1. To do so click on Contacts(left hand panel, below Recently Deleted folder) 2. In the search box (in the Contacts panel) type your email address (Next to Print) 3. Check the box (that matched your name) 4. Click on Delete (Delete your name from address book) Please check your address book regularly and make sure you delete your own address from it at all times. This will reduce the problem you experienced.
