Reason For Using Drugs Due to Lonliness...Do You Believe It

Would you believe it if your boyfriend said the reason he uses drugs is because he's lonely? My girlfriends boyfriend has a arm that has cerebral palsy. He said he uses drugs and sleeps with crack whores because they are easy to get and because he's lonely and he hates constantly coming home to an empty house. Do you believe this or is he just running game and a hustle.
