Real methamphetamine (adderal)

What are the differences between producing real methamphetamine(Desoxyn) and street drugs?

(please read the comments below before answering, as my question was really unclear and incomplete) thanks.

Not to mention the legality issue , when performed by individuals who are not trained chemists, methamphetamine manufacture can lead to extremely dangerous situations.

You can read about various ways to manufacture methamphetamine  in http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Methamphetamine#Production

A completely different synthesis procedure involves creating methamphetamine by the reductive amination of phenylacetone with methylamine, both of which are currently DEA list I chemicals (as are pseudoephedrine and ephedrine). The reaction requires a catalyst that acts as a reducing agent, such as mercury-aluminum amalgam or platinum dioxide, also known as Adams' catalyst. This was once the preferred method of production by motorcycle gangs in California, but DEA restrictions on the chemicals have made this an uncommon way to produce the drug today.

Other less-common methods use other means of hydrogenation, such as hydrogen gas in the presence of a catalyst.

thanks for the answer, I believe this Production section on wikipedia is new or I always missed it the countless time I visit that page.

I'd like to add some precision about my question. First, when I put (Adderall) in parenthesis, I was mistaken and I should have written (Desoxyn)

Now about my question: I'm not looking for any kind of recipe or any way of producing it has it is not my intention. What I'd like to know, is a bit more about the "official" way of producing it in the "real" laboratories. The reason behind this is because I believe that one, not all, but one of the factor that makes this drugs such an health problem is directly related to his production.  Not the drug it self.

So, not only the production is creating a lot of garbage and is creating a risk for the neighborhood. but all those acids and off the counter product probably alter the drug and makes it even more toxic.

What I would like to know is if it is possible to prove that the methamphetamine in Dexosyn pills is "healthier" (not healthy, but better) than street drugs.

One is made by scientists and regulated by doctors, the other is made by criminals and specificaly not regulated by the drug dealers. Methamphetamine in any form though is very addictive and potentialy dangerous.
