A foolish heart will call on you to toss your dreams away, then turn around and blame you for the way you went astray. - Grateful Dead, Foolish Heart

I like this question!  I think that most music critics would rank Pink Floyd as the best group of these three, especially because of the albums

Dark Side of the Moon and The Wall.  But really, the best band is whoever makes you happiest.  It's a personal thing.  If someone had a life-changing experience when going to a Grateful Dead or Phish concert, then that's the best band for that person.  Smile

Pink Floyd like Elvisabbott said, Phish and the dead come next.  I rate these as who I listen to the most out of the three. Just my opinion.

Cool

3 great bands! All 3 are huge in my musical taste development. I think that my age (born in 76), makes me lean towards phish. By that I mean that I was coming of age when they where seemingly appearing out of nowhere and blowing our minds. This was a band that was of my time and that sounded so fresh and original and fun... Whereas pink floyd and the Dead where legends from another time. If I had been born 20 years earlier, I would undoubtebly hold a different opinion. But like I said, all 3 are COLLOSAL and rank amongst the very greatest rock bands of all time.

MY inferiority complex isn't as good as YOURS

Dead,Pink Floyd,Phish IMHO.I actually think Grateful Dead and Pink Floyd should be a tie...I have every single one of both bands albums.I tried syncing Dark Side of the Moon to The Wizard of Oz which only a true Floyd fan would do...anyway it's very tedious and I couldn't do it lol.

Good post.

I have never heard of Phish, but I love Pink Floyd and Grateful Dead.  Ranking them, PF first and GD second.
