Where did Randy Johnson's nickname the Big Unit come from?
Not only do I not know what's going on, I wouldn't know what to do about it if I did.
During batting practice in 1988, Johnson who was playing with the Montreal Expos, collided head-first with outfielder Tim Raines. Raines then said to Johnson: "You're a big unit!" The name stuck.
