Anyone have any tips for treating skin burned by recent radiotherapy?
Skin damage due to radiotherapy is similar to sun burn. Wash the affected area with soap and warm water. Dry. Then apply topical antibiotics to help prevent infections and to promote healing. Apply bandaid or gauze on top.
They have specific ointments for radiation burns. Your Dr should be able to give you a prescription for one. Have you asked? Also, the technicians when you get your treatment should be able to advise you also.

The burns were internal to throat & mouth. The most effective thing was pure Aloe Vera juice, which did seem to speed up the healing process.
