Radiohead - In Rainbows

Radiohead intend to release their next album, In Rainbows, as a download. Paying will be optional. Good for them, I think it's an excellent move and I'm happy for them that they're in a position to make such a move.

Do you think they will reveal their earnings? And how much do you think they will make?

I doubt that they'll reveal their earnings.  I don't think Radiohead is about big profits, but rather about keeping their fans satisfied.

Still, I hope that they keep a running total.  I'd like to know how well they're doing with this -- and how much people are paying on average.

My guess is that they'll do better than they would have if they were still with EMI.  So many people are going to download this album ... and many will pay good money out of gratitude and respect for what Radiohead is doing.

It's out! And the good: most people pay normal price for the album and many order the box. I guess they are the hardcore Radiohead fans and as time goes by the less enthusiastic people will pay less and less.
