Jewish tradition is pro-love, pro-healthy sexuality, pro-partnership, pro-people selecting their own partners (see midrash in which Adam rejects each of the animals in turn before selecting Eve as his partner), and anti-aloneness.

I support Rabbi Kleinbaum's views, and look forward to the day when no one will think the biggest problem in this country or in the Jewish community is that two people love each other and want to create a sacred family.
