To conclude.
God is the originator, no two ways about it. The sad fact is that we existed long before we took on flesh, to inhabit this insane planet. In the "chaotic era" before creation of matter, space/time, and energy, there was a rebellion among the spirits.
One third broke away at the behest of Lucifer, the fallen Bringer of Light. Lucifer fell from grace and became Satan, otherwise called Diabolos: "The contrary one" in Macedonian Greek. The Greeks called Lucifer an unclean spirit: divisive, rebellious, far too easily offended, and just plain stubborn. Lucifer was not invited to Planet Earth, where we came to prove ourselves worthy to be reconciled to God.
Lucifer (Loki in Norse legend, Kali in Hindu legend) crept into this world completely uninvited. Lucifer has mamaged to evade capture for quite some time but is still a disruptive fugitive whose unwelcome presence makes it necessary for God to go through extraordinary means to forgive us for what he has manipulated us to do against God.
Lucifer brought the rebels who were not found worthy of a chance at redemption along for the ride, also completely unwelcome. In the last 2,000 years or so, there have been fewer and fewer demonic possessions, although a few still occur. Once exorcised, the spirit is banished to 0-dimension (basically a variety of black hole singularity) from where there is no chance of them ever escaping again.
Once the last of these brigands has been arrested and properly imprisoned in a gravitational field so strong that not even THEY can escape, then we will finally have the latitude to be ourselves, without nuisance spirits putting stupidity in our thoughts that we then act on, thinking that it was a proper course of action.
With the devil and that gang of misfits finally gone, we can be ourselves, and show God that we made a bad mistake by leavig His side before the creation of the Universe about 13.7 billion years ago. But as spirits are by definition time-only entities, then that 13.7 billion years passes (as it were) in less than a week as we perceive time here.
I will admit that atheists have considerable difficulty comprehending higher math and cutting-edge physics. That is what happens when people so severely limit their minds.
Now that the last of the outlaws flees an infinity of Lawman angels -- cuffs in hand and warrant on file to stretch the metaphor to the breaking point -- the outlaws are in an all-time maximum panic and will do their worst to avoid capture.
When the Lawmen have rounded up these brigands, and consigned them to such intense gravity and heat that it cannot exist in this universe, they will be gone for good and we can finally do what we wanted to do all along: we can be redeemed.
