if the withdrawl is severe, you must be younger, the good news is that the dosage is very manageble. the thing with xanax(user 1mg - 2 mg per day from 1995-2004)is coping with anxiety, which is what it is supposed to do, but once you start using, your anxiety levels end up trippling. Do not just stop! do you also take any anti-depressants? because these will enhance trepidition. Excerise. avoid anything with caffiene. especially soda pop. And have a doctor titrate your dose until you are off....good luck, it is possible, uncomfortable, but only for a time
