If you need to lose 10lbs quick, I recommend going on the 3 day diet. It's a fad diet, but if you follow it exactly for the 3 days you WILL lose weight. I've done it and can verify that it is possible to lose 10lbs in just 3 days. But this is a quick fix, not permanent weight loss.
As was already mentioned, drinking more water well help you lose weight too. It's amazing how this one simple thing is overlooked by so many people that are trying to diet.
If you plan on restricting your calorie intake for the next few days, chew some gum to keep your food cravings at bay.
