Quick inexpensive fix for older windows to be done by renter ?

I'm renting a condo, which only has 3 windows, they're not effective at keeping the cold out. I thought about putting some type of shrink wrap plastic on them, but don't want to diminish the amount of sunlight that comes in. Do you have any suggestions? The landlord replacing them isn't an option, my hope is to reduce my heating cost for the one winter I'm here. Any suggestions ?
