Questioning-whatever-I-am

I'm so confused trying to answer the question of whether or not God exists for myself. I can't logically answer that and need some help coming to peace with that uncertainty. Can you help me?

Be Blessed.

Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity (Love), I am become as a sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal.

Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vauneth not itself, is not puffed up, Doth not behave itself unseemly, seekth not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil; Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in truth; Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things. Charity never faileth.

And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is (Love) charity.

Reganee,

I don't know why the babies died perhaps it was their time. Only God knows why. There are so many things in this life that we don't understand, but that does not mean that God doesn't exist and that he is not a loving God. He allowed us to wake up this morning. He provides for us, although we sometimes fail to say thank you or give him the acknowledgement that he is due.

You said you find it astounding that people quote the bible to prove a point. I as well as others have laid out our case and now it is up to AgnosticAmerican to make a decision. That decision is strictly his and his alone.

In my closing I would like to quote the scripture one more time because I happen to believe that it is more than a book written thousands of years ago.

Matthew 7:13-14 Enter ye in at the strait gate; for wide is the gate, and broad is the way , that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

The lord says he has put before us two ways, one lead to life eternal and the other to destruction.

Everybody is free to choose who or what they want but in the end we will have to give an account to someone. I certainly wouldn't want to guess wrong. Because that is one mistake, we cannot take back. As for me and my house we will serve the Lord.

Be Blessed,

God is love Smile

Hey AgnosticAmerican, I'm so very happy for you. I'll pray for you so God may reveal Himself to you more clearly :)

There are horrible little people here. Watch out!

Hi Nathan. I just got done reading what you said, and I want to tell you something, my Spirit jumped. While I was reading your words I didn't know what was coming next, and all the sudden I got goose-bumps all over my body and tears started coming to my eyes!  I'm smiling and probably will be all day long, for you.

Life is hard, filled with lots of questions, things we can change, and things we can only accept. Don't let your faith crumble when you have hard times, or when you see suffering in the world... blame people, blame satan, and keep your eyes on God at all times.  He Wins in the end over all unrighteousness, all sin, and leaves those who didn't trust Him, rejected Him because 'God' didn't do things their way, live up to their expectations!  We expect so much from God above all He has already given us, and give so little in return, to not even Believe He exsists until He 'proves Himself worthy'. It's really pretty backward for some of us.. but hopefully, only for a while.

See you in Heaven, Brother.

I've found web site that has such logical arguments in favor of the existance of God that I could not argue with the arguments using pure logic and I cannot stand sounding illogical. So, the site has gotten me to admit that God exists because no other logical conclusion can be drawn. I found part of what I'm looking for. I'm kind of at peace with knowing that he exist. Since he exists, logic dictates that he would want a relationship with what he has created. How do I get into that relationship? What do I say to him? Would that relationship give me total peace? I cannot honestly claim to be Agnostic any longer. You can call me by my name: Nathan because "Agnostic American" cannot apply to me any longer since I have had all my arguments about God silenced completely.

You didn't scare me mentioning Satan and demons. They don't scare me. From what Christians that I know have told me...they can't phyically harm me, so, I'm not worried about them. That prayer and a web site that has some incredibly logical arguments (have to be to silence my arguments completely and it did) convinced me of the existance of God. Now, I just want to get (and stay) on his good side.........seriously.

I thought that asking God for something for myself was selfish and I don't deserve anything from him. So, I prayed for my fiance when she needed it (her chest pain could have been something serious) and he answered. Then, a few days later (yesterday...I think) I felt a gentle push to Google a name that I never had thought to do it on before....God. I was led to a web site that silenced all my arguments using pure logic. I honestly believe that God had that situation come up with my fiance and then led me to the only one of 95,000,000 sites that could use pure logic to silence me. That makes me feel like he cares enough about me to reveal himself in a way that is unique and special just for me. That told me that he respects me. I want a relationship with a God that thinks that much of me and cares about me that much....to do something unique for me. He convinced me of his existance using pure logic...the only way that I could be convinced. That proves he loves me.......me and what have I done for him??? Nothing.
