When I grow up, I wanna be a principal, or a cat-erpiller......

Question posed to the ladies...

Okay, we all know that men and women are vastly different when it comes to attraction...for men it's physical first, then the whole package comes after - for women it seems to be a bit more complicated.  Now, obviously there are times when women get bit by the lust bug and just go for looks too, but my real question is this:

As a woman, do you prefer a man who adheres to typical gender roles (i.e. 'Acts like a man') and his ignorant of his machismo, or one who is much more progressive but still knows how to be a real 'man' when it matters most?

MY inferiority complex isn't as good as YOURS

Ew,I hate that macho crap. It's so annoying.I like the nerdy guy in the band tee-shirt with his nose buried in a book. The one who's sort of bumbling but always comes through for me.I'm not a big relationship person, but I want to be with a guy who can make fun of himself and tease me mercilessly as well. The guy who can carry on entire conversations by quoting movie lines.I don't know if that's progressive but whatever it is....apparently there's not enough to go around.

I like a man who acts like a man....is chivalrous, has manners, and is smart....not some dumb neanderthal.

A smart man turns me on. Macho is over rated. Tall and buff doesnt hurt though.
