Dear sir, Article I, Section 3, Clause 4 of the US Constitution states, "The Vice President of the United States shall be President of the Senate, but shall have no Vote, unless they be equally divided". Does this not clearly outline the role of the VP as President of the US Senate in your opinion? Sure the VP can preside at any time, but if his vote does not actually have true meaning unless there is a tie, should he/she be spending much of his/her time in this role? Do you not think that the Vice President of the United States of America, a member of the Executive Branch, as outlined in the Constitution, should have other duties to which he/she should devote time and attention?
