Quantum physics in "what the bleep do we know"

I watched the movie "what the bleep do we know" recently. I didn't think it was very good, but some of parts were OK -- I think the part on the brain was quite good. The part on quantum physics sounded like total rubbish to me, but I don't know anything about this subject. Anyone who watched the movie can tell me how accurate this part is?

If you build it, they will come.

Without talking about the artistic qualities of the "bleep" movie, or how good or bad it was, we need to remember one thing, that it was done with the intention of reaching a large audience. The film makers tried to give you a taste on a verity of subject relating to meta-physics, our place in the universe and self control, among other things. these fields are so vast and  difficult to understand and in no way can a 90 min film give you the big picture.

you want to know more about quantum physics? read as much as you can about it. talk to physicists and men of science, since only they can give you a clear answer. but do remember that we're talking about a field of study that deals with laws of nature that don't apply in nature. most of the time quantum physics is about asking questions, without getting an answer

don't know if you are familiar with Micheal crichton's book "Time-line". it deals primarily with time travel, but also speaks about a few general concepts of quantum physics. early in the book the characters try to do a home made experiment in quantum physics involving a flashlight, scissors and a piece of paper.  basically what you do is take the piece of paper and cut a slim rectangle in it, then hold the flashlight close to the paper so the light will shine through the cutting on an opposite wall. what you should see is a single horizontal line. this is because the light photons move in a strait line. then you cut another slim rectangle line and shine through the piece of paper. now, you would expect to see two horizontal lines, but instead you get four. the explanation is that somehow the light photons "change" their behavior and decided to move in a wave form instead of a strait line. something is causing  photons to act differently then expected. the quantum physics way of thinking would say that this happens because some photons are actually being moved by other photons which have appeared from a parallel universe.
