A:What you are experiencing is the PS3 equivalent of the Xbox 360 Red Ring of Death. All PS3 models will eventually start to have problems with the BluRay Laser assembly, and are starting to be unable to read discs anymore. They start a game fine, and then suddenly are unable to read further game data and lock up. The only resolution to this is to contact Sony Support and hope they repair your console.
