Will the Produce Industry in Salinas Valley be as prosperus as it once was?

My husband and I have a small produce brokerage in Salinas,Ca.  I see the

future of produce in Salinas changing dramatically. Our guys use computers

instead of telephones . Lots of loss in business because of restructering.

Many high power employees were cut from reputable companies and some

Business just went under.    My husband on the other hand, tends to think

that produce business is a sure thing people still have to eat . It's the law

of supply and demand.  That the figures we saw as profits in the late 90's

will come back . And one day we will be cutting a fat hog!
