Problems Printing

Experiencing some problems with my printer. It's something I've just noticed. Couldn't answer how long ago did it start. Well, the problem is with printing straight lines. they come out not so even. How can I fix that?

What kind of printer do you have?  Some printers have a way of aligning the print heads, or maybe the cartridges aren't straight.

Well I'm afraid I can't be of much help.  It's been a while since I've been in the hardware business.  The best I can say would be to check the HP www site for any old user manuals or troubleshooting guides.
