I was given atacand not for high blood pressure but as a protective measure for my kidneys.Iam a diabetic. now my blood pressure drops very low quite frequently. even thou meds were stopped several years ago..Why
Hmmmmm you should be speaking with your Doctor about that. I personally have low blood pressure (every day) I drink caffiene or eat salty foods to raise it.
The drop in your blood pressure is not from the medication you stopped years ago. You didn't say what your blood pressure readings are and if you are having symptoms. Usually low blood pressure isn't a problem unless you are having symptoms such as dizziness, or feeling faint. The best thing to do is to always discuss your concerns with your doctor because there could be other things causing your low blood pressure such as a slow heart rate.
It is ,in my opinion, not very wise to try to solve health problems through internet forum inquiries. Also contact your doctor. You can always call him for advise.
