how do I cancel AIM on AOL. I have AOL Desktop 10.1 on my PC. It automatically comes with AIM through AOL. I am continuing to have problems with AIM, it changed my main AOL e-mail address from client name @ aol.com to client name @ aim.com. My other e-mail address correctly shows @aol.com, not @aim.com and it is fine and under the old format when I check mail. My main mail box changed to combine new with old mail, when new mail come in and does not show saved mail. AIM continues to give me problems.e problems. For example, AOL IM through AIM comes with a message after several minutes stating I am on two sessions, and hit 1 to get rid of one session. I am only on AOL and not on two sessions. Also, the AIM Buddy List goes gray and blank after several minutes and says IMAP connection lost and loses mail sign-on.
I'd like to get rid of AIM and only use AOL and access my Buddy List through AOL not AIM. I called AOL tech and they are not helpful. They can't change my @aim.com back to @aol.com. They suggest I uninstall and install my AOL Desktop. I uninstalled and downloaded the AOL Desktop 10.1 again, and it did not help. I tried to change password, and it did not help. The AIM bug is with AOL, and there is no help with AOL Desktop.
Has anyone solved the issue. I wish AIM was part of AOL Desktop, when you download.
