Private pilot license

I'm into getting a private license also... As far as I investigated it takes 3-4 week in both US and Canada.

Flight instructors claim that almost anyone can become a pilot, it's only a matter of time and basic motor skills. I believe that flying an aircraft is thought to be hard due to the tough training in Air force courses, which trains combat pilots. Civic and military aviation are two different branches and different by their nature and skills needed beyond basic flying.

FAA requires min of 40 hours in usa.  20 hours with an instructor before you can solo.  Then solo time, occasional instructor time the next 20.  Most people take 50-60 hours to complete.  Each 'session' last about 1.2 hours, so going 4 days a week it would take you 3 months steady.  Most people cant go or afford to go that much, so 6 months for a weekender, or 2 sessions a week is more like it.

12 to 20 hours to solo. 40 to 50 hours to earn a recreational pilot certificate. 50 to 70 hours to earn a private pilot certificate. Not hard to learn but you must be consistent in your training. Cost about $7,000.00 to earn a private pilot certificate.
